Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Category Coordinator to support the Category Managers in the development and management of promotional programs and materials. You will play a key role in creating content that empowers retailers to become the best in their area, helping to drive our mission of supporting successful independent businesses. This is a 6-month, Fixed Term Contract based in our Macquarie Park Office.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist the IBA Category Manager and Assistant Category Manager with promotional planning
  • Approve promotional content (e.g., catalogues, press ads) for market delivery
  • Communicate promotional content to state teams and manage feedback
  • Act as a backup for the National Category Manager and or Assistant Category Manager during their absence
  • Liaise with suppliers to confirm promotional plans and activations striving for better buying and deals
  • Develop retailer communications to support front-line execution
  • Perform administrative tasks to help meet KPIs and ensure effective tracking and reporting

Requirements

  • Previous experience in liquor retail is highly recommended
  • Understanding of how the Category Manager role interacts with cross-functional departments and suppliers
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
