Job Responsibility

  • Assisting Category Managers with category functions, process and performance
  • Coordinating category operations by managing documentation, responding to queries and supporting vendor meetings with action tracking and reporting
  • Supporting marketing and promotional initiatives through briefing, proofing and distributing collateral across teams including Sales, Retail and Marketing
  • Managing vendor relationships and performance, ensuring timely execution of plans, accurate rebate tracking and compliance with agreements and regulations
  • Maintaining accurate product and e-commerce data, including SKU processing, product attributes, pricing and promotional updates
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Category Managers, Supply Chain, Marketing and other teams to drive category success and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently
  • Analytical, problem-solving, planning and organisation skills
  • Proficient in MS Powerpoint and MS Excel
  • Financially literate to justify strategy, decisions and recommendations
  • Relevant experience in an equivalent category role would be preferable
  • Experience in retail with a preference for rural retail would be ideal but not essential
