Job Description

We are looking for a Catalog Operations Manager to drive and scale catalog quality improvements across our Grocery & Retail business. This role sits at the intersection of operations, analytics, and product, and plays a critical role in improving customer experience and merchant performance through high-quality catalog data. You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Operations teams. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical capabilities, and operational excellence to ensure seamless execution and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibility

  • Work with retail partners to improve the quality of their catalog integration with Uber Eats
  • End to end project ownership to drive improved catalog quality, including SKU expansion, product attribute enrichment, product searchability enhancement, etc
  • Lead go to market for new catalog product features in Japan, from launch preparation through post-launch stabilization
  • Analyze catalog performance data by using SQL and creating internal dashboards to identify quality gaps, and opportunities to drive improvement of key business metrics like add-to-cart conversion, average order size, item fulfillment rate, and more
  • Design scalable processes and workflows to improve catalog quality
  • Solve day-to-day operational and product-related issues

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Operations, Product Management, or similar roles
  • Ability to manage ambiguous problems and structure them into clear, solvable components
  • Willingness to dive into the details - to literally walk the aisles of our merchants to understand every detail of their operations
  • Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in SQL
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teams
  • Business-level Japanese
  • Business-level English

Nice to have

  • Experience in e-commerce, marketplace, grocery, retail, CPG, or catalog-related domains
  • Experience defining or operating data quality standards or operational KPIs
