Cat 3 Inspection Engineer

Inspection of pressurised static equipment e.g. vessels, tanks, piping, relief devices, to meet regulatory and client requirements

• Trained/qualified in a relevant engineering discipline
• Engineering Technician status desirable
• 5 years of experience working within a relevant engineering discipline e.g. mechanical technician
• Mechanical Engineering background
• Experience in the Chemical and /or Oil & Gas sectors
• Understanding of engineering principals
• EEMUA / API / NDT qualification/experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Eye for detail
• Meeting tight deadlines
• Good interpersonal skills, and the capability to work independently
• Appreciation of pressure equipment
• Experience / appreciation of non-destructive examination techniques (NDT)
• Category 3. Engineering Technician as defined by Engineering Council or equivalent (e.g. Appropriate ONC with relevant experience, NVQ Level III) having a minimum of 5 years’ experience within a relevant discipline of which at least one year shall have been spent working within an engineering discipline associated with the in-service inspection of pressure systems
