Lawes are currently partnered with a leading privately owned insurance broker who are recruiting for a Casualty Retail Broker to join their team in London.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design, implement, and deliver insurance programs across all liability lines, including General and Employers’ Liability
  • develop and maintain strong relationships with markets at both operational and strategic levels
  • evaluate clients’ risk profiles, business objectives, and exposures to provide tailored advice on coverage, pricing, and retention strategies
  • oversee the preparation and issuance of policy documentation, ensuring full compliance with contract certainty requirements
  • manage and resolve service-related issues with insurers and third-party providers
  • participate in Client Strategy Meetings, providing detailed technical reviews and recommendations for insurance programs
  • conduct benchmarking analyses on program limits, coverage structures, and deductibles to guide client decision-making
  • monitor developments within the insurance market and communicate relevant insights to colleagues and clients
  • contribute to business development initiatives to support revenue growth and client acquisition
  • prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and bulletins for both internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • ACII Qualification
  • extensive experience in insurance placement
  • strong relationships with key UK and global insurers
  • proven expertise in managing complex global liability placements and multi-national arrangements
  • proficiency in producing MRCs and endorsements, with the ability to guide the casualty team
  • exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to handle challenging conversations
  • experience in leading teams and projects
  • strong presentation skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit diverse audiences.
