Job Description:

Casual Support Worker position at Club Aruma's Community HUB in Gunnedah. The role involves supporting people with disabilities to live their best lives with dignity and respect, creating inclusive communities where individuals can explore hobbies, form friendships, and thrive through shared interests and activities.

Job Responsibility:

Create joyful experiences and foster meaningful relationships for people with disabilities
Connect people with shared hobbies and passions
Facilitate engaging activities like art sessions, sports games, or group outings
Help people explore their communities and participate in events
Cultivate an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere
Recognise milestones and support people in achieving their goals
Collaborate with team to design interest-focused programs
Support participants in their home with daily living skills

Requirements:

Experience in supporting people with disabilities
Eager to learn
Ability to create relationships and foster inclusion
Valid driver's license and insured car
First Aid/CPR Certificate (or ready to obtain)
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ready to obtain)
Working with Children Check (or ready to obtain)
Right to work in Australia

Nice to have:

Background in supporting people with disabilities
Passion for connecting people through shared interests
