Job Description:

Do you love working with food and making a positive impact on students’ lives? We’re looking for Casual School Meals Program Assistants to help deliver nutritious meals and promote healthy eating habits across our district.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and serve delicious, balanced meals for students
  • Organize food service areas and keep everything running smoothly
  • Shop for groceries and manage supplies
  • Keep accurate records and maintain a clean, safe kitchen
  • Help create newsletters and fun activities that encourage healthy choices

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent education
  • At least 3 years of food preparation experience
  • FoodSafe Level 1 certification
  • Knowledge of Canada’s Food Guide
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills (30 wpm)
  • Ability to lift and carry out physical tasks
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
