Job Responsibility:
Deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred nursing care
Recognise and respond promptly to changes in residents’ health status
Safely administer and evaluate medications
Provide wound care, pressure injury prevention, and continence management
Implement falls prevention strategies while promoting independence
Maintain infection prevention and restraint minimisation practices
Support residents’ nutritional wellbeing
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised clinical environment
Use resources responsibly and minimise waste
Act as a Care Coach to residents and Care Partners
Work collaboratively with medical practitioners and allied health professionals
Partner with families in care planning and advance care discussions
Contribute to team coordination and roster input
Escalate and respond to risks and concerns appropriately
Conduct comprehensive clinical assessment
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with HDSS and Nursing Council of New Zealand standards
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in nursing from a recognised institution
Current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council
Minimum 2 - 3 years of nursing experience in New Zealand
Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills
Eligible to live and work in New Zealand permanently
