We are looking for flexible and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistants to join our catering team on a casual basis. This role will support the delivery of high-quality, freshly prepared food for patients, visitors, staff and events and help to maintain the high standards expected within a Hospice environment. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a professional kitchen but requires flexibility in their working pattern.
Job Responsibility:
Assisting with basic food preparation under the guidance of the Head Chef/Sous Chef
Supporting with plating and presentation during busy service periods, following instructions and set standards
Ensuring all food hygiene and health and safety standards are consistently met
Ensuring all kitchen areas, utensils and equipment are cleaned and maintained to a high standard
Carrying out pot wash and general cleaning duties as required
Supporting the wider catering team with ad hoc tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations
