Job Responsibility

  • Generating new business through proactive outreach, networking, and market development to drive conference and event sales
  • Responding to incoming enquiries and converting them into confirmed bookings
  • Delivering compelling venue tours and sales presentations that showcase the Wetland Centre's unique offer
  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with corporate clients, agencies, local businesses, and community partners
  • Representing the venue at industry events and networking opportunities to increase market visibility
  • Managing your CRM pipeline, ensuring accurate reporting and effective follow-up activity
  • Working closely with operations and catering teams to ensure seamless delivery of all confirmed events while meeting revenue targets

Requirements

  • Proven experience in venue, events, hospitality, or hotel sales, with the ability to convert opportunities into results
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, paired with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Confidence in presenting to a range of clients and stakeholders
  • A proactive, self-driven approach with a strong focus on achieving and exceeding targets
  • Experience effectively managing a sales pipeline and maintaining accurate CRM records
  • A friendly, confident, and positive communication style that builds trust
  • High levels of organization, attention to detail, and a creative mindset for developing new business opportunities
