Job Description:

Young Academics Early Learning Centre is a leading and reputable provider with more than 45 centres across New South Wales. We are currently seeking experienced casual cooks to support our Centre in Rouse Hill and surrounding suburbs. As a Casual Cook at Young Academics, you will support the Centre staff to provide high-quality, inclusive education and care. You will assist educators and ensure every child in your care feels safe, supported and inspired to learn.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the Centre Staff providing high quality education and care
  • Maintain a safe environment, proactively managing risks and adhering to health and hygiene protocols
  • Prepare morning tea, lunch & afternoon tea for children in line with dietitian’s menu
  • Conduct appropriate food checks
  • Effectively adapt meals to cater for diverse dietary requirements
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of NSW Food Authority guidelines
  • Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards
  • Maintain Mandatory Reporting responsibilities and requirements

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months' work experience as a Childcare Cook
  • Hold a completed Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care from a nationally approved registered training organisation or an ACECQA-approved qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS and sector regulations
  • Current First Aid training and CPR Certificate
  • Valid NSW Employee Working with Children Check
  • Commitment to upholding a Child Safe Organisation and inclusive practices
  • Maintain Mandatory National Child Safety Training
