Job Description:

This is a Casual Bank Nursery Practitioner position at Children 1st Buckinghams Nursery School in Leek. The role involves providing flexible cover for children as needed. The nursery aims to give children healthy foundations in fantastic settings, helping them build confidence and resilience. The role requires creativity, adaptability, and a passion for teaching young children through hands-on activities, storytelling, and educational games within the EYFS framework.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing cover for the children as and when needed, which could be for periods of holiday, sickness, or vacancy gaps
  • supporting for a full day, or a morning or afternoon session
  • pivoting when circumstances call for it
  • engaging in hands on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games
  • working within the EYFS standards

Requirements:

  • Level 2 or above qualified, Early Years Educator / Practitioner / Nursery Nurse or similar
  • unqualified Educators considered if they demonstrate the right values, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for caring for and supporting others

Nice to have:

  • A full and relevant Level 2 or above qualification within early years
  • Experience as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner) or having worked with children under the age of 5
  • Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
