Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within one of JRL Group's key divisions; Trent Precast Concrete Ltd. The JRL Group is a highly successful, privately owned, national construction group head quartered in North London. With a turnover of in excess of £360m, the business is currently experiencing growth and as such seeks to strengthen our Precast team. Trent Precast specializes in the manufacture and delivery of structural precast concrete units based in the heart of the country in Nottingham. We are currently seeking a casting supervisor for our precast facility in Skelmersdale, to ensure all concrete pours are done to the correct specification. Monday - Friday (10am-8pm).

Job Responsibility

  • Checks are undertaken on the planks after pouring
  • Any issues are picked up and amended or logged
  • Leading the small casting team and driving the Health and Safety and quality
  • Completing a daily report handover for the to factory manager

Requirements

  • Experience of working with precast concrete preferred
  • Experience within Factory environments
  • Experience with leading a small team
  • Quality and process driven to work optimum efficiencies

  • Manages a portfolio of artists including day to day operational support, supported by Senior Talent Manager and / or Director of Talent
  • Manage artist crewing and scheduling for specific departments
  • Working with Senior Talent Manager, Director of Talent and /or Senior Studio Production Manager (SPM) to appropriately escalate any crewing issues and collaborate on solutions
  • Working closely with the Senior Talent Manager, Director of Talent and HR to effectively escalate and resolve people issues
  • Works collaboratively with Senior Studio Production Manager, Production, Supervisors, Heads of Department (HoD) and Recruiters to define and communicate ongoing hiring requirements for assigned departments
  • Communicates pro-actively with show leadership and creative supervision to understand overall project requirements, crewing needs (start / end dates) and project milestones, anticipating and flagging challenges as required
