The Casting Director for The Jury Experience leads casting across multiple countries and productions. You will source talent and casting partners worldwide, define role profiles and evaluation criteria, support local teams with casting decisions, and resolve casting issues from auditions through rehearsals and live performances. You’ll review self-tapes and footage, collaborate closely with directors and producers, and help ensure every local cast meets the creative and performance standards of the show—including recommending release and recasting when required.
Job Responsibility:
Global sourcing & partnerships: Identify, build, and manage relationships with performers, casting networks, and casting agencies worldwide
Casting profiles: Define and maintain casting breakdowns (role requirements, tone, skills, look/feel, language/accent where relevant)
Tape review & callbacks: Watch and assess casting tapes, run or support callbacks/chemistry reads, and deliver clear recommendations and shortlists
Local team support: Guide local producers/teams through casting decisions and align choices with show standards and director expectations
Casting issue resolution: Troubleshoot challenges (availability, replacements, performance gaps, last-minute changes) and execute recasting quickly when needed
Performance monitoring: Review rehearsal/show footage to evaluate readiness, consistency, and role fit
Talent decisions: Recommend coaching plans or role changes, and—when necessary—recommend releasing and replacing cast members based on performance
Director collaboration: Act as a key creative partner to directors, translating feedback into casting actions and maintaining alignment across markets
Process & tracking: Maintain organized casting records, evaluations, and pipelines
uphold confidentiality and fair casting practices
Legal/compliance risk leadership: Flag potential legal, union, contractual, right-to-work/visa, and regional compliance risks early
collaborate with the Legal (and HR/Production) teams to resolve and mitigate issues
