Job Description:

We are currently looking to recruit a CASS Director to join our Risk Assurance and Advisory Services (RAAS) Team within the Financial Services sector. Our financial services sector works across wealth management, hedge fund managers, private equity and venture capital and fintech providing CASS assurance services. This is a great opportunity to join our growing team and drive the strategy of our broader RAAS offering within the sector, shaping its future. As a senior leader, you’ll support the development of our CASS specialism by working closely with our RAAS team to build capability and service for our CASS clients. You will have the opportunity to shape the training materials and work paper templates. Through thought leadership and technical expertise you will demonstrate why we are the go to service provider in the space. We have an extensive FinTech offering and broad community, you will be instrumental in the implementation and integration of CASS 15 and therefore the success of our team within the market.

Job Responsibility:

  • Overseeing a portfolio of CASS audit engagements
  • Actively drive the CASS and wider RAAS assurance strategy forward with a view to growing the client base building the team
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, supporting both technical development and personal growth
  • Contribute to business development through proposal writing, client workshops, industry seminars, and marketing materials
  • Develop thought leadership and identify new business opportunities
  • Keep on top of regulatory developments and opportunities
  • Oversee and develop a training plan for the wider team
  • Advise and keep clients abreast of the impact of any regulatory changes or developments

Requirements:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Responsible individual
  • Extensive CASS audit experience, including CASS 6, CASS 7 and safeguarding
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to coach and develop a team and actively build a talent pipeline
  • Strong knowledge of the FCA’s Client Assets Sourcebook and its practical application
  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills
  • Strong project management capabilities and experience leading professional teams

Nice to have:

  • Wider knowledge and experience of the wider FS regulatory landscape is desired
  • Deep understanding of governance frameworks, business structures, and control environments in the asset management sector
