Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Casino Controller to join a dynamic gaming and hospitality company in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is pivotal in managing all financial and accounting operations related to gaming activities while ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, auditing, and leadership within the gaming industry.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee all gaming accounting and audit functions to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, subsidiary journals, and external reporting requirements
  • Manage accounts payable, inventory control, and payroll processing for the organization
  • Supervise the month-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Coordinate and monitor balance sheet account reconciliations and fixed asset tracking on a regular basis
  • Develop processes for effective profit and loss (P& L) reviews across departments and the property
  • Administer filings for licenses, taxes, and contracts while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
  • Provide timely and accurate financial reports to executive leadership and regulatory agencies
  • Train, evaluate, and mentor accounting and finance team members to build a proactive and effective department
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to support strategic financial initiatives and motivate the team

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably within the gaming industry
  • Strong knowledge of gaming regulations and compliance standards
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, auditing, and reconciliation processes
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills to develop and motivate staff
  • Ability to create and implement efficient accounting processes and systems
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical abilities
  • Effective communication skills to interact with executive leadership and regulatory agencies
