Job Description:

The Cashier at Smoky Mountain Smash in Gatlinburg Skypark will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling transactions accurately, and ensuring a smooth flow of operations at the cash register. The ideal candidate will be friendly, reliable, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere
  • Assist customers with menu selections and answer any questions regarding the offerings
  • Provide information about current promotions and special deals
  • Accurately process customer orders and handle cash transactions
  • Operate the cash register and ensure correct pricing
  • Issue receipts, refunds, and change to customers
  • Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations
  • Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally, seeking assistance from the manager when necessary
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the cash register, counter, and dining area
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a sanitary environment
  • Restock and organize inventory as needed
  • Work closely with other team members to ensure efficient service
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the manager.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is an asset
  • Strong numerical and cash handling skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems
