Job Responsibility:
Greet guests
receive food orders
repeat food orders
charge the appropriate price for each menu item ordered by guests
receive the correct amount tendered by guests and provide the correct change
enact gift cards requested by guests
be familiar with and up to date with menu and prices
interact with guests in a friendly and fast manner
correct guest orders quickly and efficiently
detect counterfeit money and respond appropriately
verify age for alcohol service
ensure complete guest satisfaction
maintain a neat and clean uniform and personal hygiene
keep work area neat and clean
clean and maintain equipment
complete in-service training and follow attendance, uniform, and hygiene standards
support safety protocols, fire/safety/disaster plans, risk management and security
maintain confidentiality of guest data including credit card information
comply with laws against harassment and discrimination
cooperate with coworkers and supervisors
communicate tactfully in sensitive situations
follow up on complaints and promote positive public relations
perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
prior experience with restaurant or retail cash handling preferred
ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push or pull items weighing up to 50 lbs
must be of legal age to serve alcohol
must maintain personal hygiene and neat uniform
ability to recognize counterfeit currency
must follow company policies and safety rules
ability to operate POS and credit card equipment
must display professional guest interaction skills
availability to work flexible hours during restaurant operating times
Nice to have:
previous experience in restaurant operations or cash handling preferred
