Job Responsibility:
Greet guests, receive food orders and repeat them
Charge the appropriate price for each menu item ordered by guests
Receive the correct amount tendered by guests and provide the correct change
Enact gift cards requested by guests
Be familiar with and up to date with California Fish Grill Restaurant's menu and prices
Interact with guests in a friendly and fast manner
Make corrections to guest orders efficiently
Determine counterfeit money and respond to such situations
Verify age requirements prior to serving alcoholic beverages
Treat guests to ensure complete satisfaction
Maintain neat and clean uniform and personal hygiene
Keep work area neat and clean
Clean and maintain equipment used
Complete in-service training and other assigned work duties
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior cashier or customer service experience preferred
Ability to operate POS system and credit card equipment
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
Ability to handle cash accurately
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
Ability to follow safety rules and company policies
Physical ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items up to 50 lbs
Manual dexterity and good auditory and visual skills
Nice to have:
Prior cashier or customer service experience preferred
Prior experience in a cashier or customer service role preferred
Knowledge of restaurant operations and food safety practices
