Job Responsibility:

  • Greet guests, receive food orders and repeat them
  • Charge the appropriate price for each menu item ordered by guests
  • Receive the correct amount tendered by guests and provide the correct change
  • Enact gift cards requested by guests
  • Be familiar with and up to date with California Fish Grill Restaurant's menu and prices
  • Interact with guests in a friendly and fast manner
  • Make corrections to guest orders efficiently
  • Determine counterfeit money and respond to such situations
  • Verify age requirements prior to serving alcoholic beverages
  • Treat guests to ensure complete satisfaction
  • Maintain neat and clean uniform and personal hygiene
  • Keep work area neat and clean
  • Clean and maintain equipment used
  • Complete in-service training and other assigned work duties

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior cashier or customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to operate POS system and credit card equipment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • Ability to handle cash accurately
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
  • Ability to follow safety rules and company policies
  • Physical ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items up to 50 lbs
  • Manual dexterity and good auditory and visual skills

Nice to have:

  • Prior cashier or customer service experience preferred
  • Prior experience in a cashier or customer service role preferred
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations and food safety practices
