Job Responsibility:
Welcome guests with a smile and friendly manner
Execute a high standard of customer service from beginning to end
Handle each payment transaction accurately and efficiently complying with restaurant policy
Maintain all required Point of Sale (POS) receipts as required by policy
Provide confident guest interactions and address guest issues or concerns in a polite and professional manner
Complete required side work duties and end of shift checkouts to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant
Maintain register area clean and well organized
Stock register area with any supplies or items needed
Answer questions about menu items including food content, preparation style, beverages, and other restaurant services
Follow all standard food handling, sanitation, and health department guidelines
Maintain customer satisfaction by responding promptly and courteously to requests
Follow proper payroll, uniform, and grooming policies and procedures
Notify management of unsafe conditions, needed maintenance of tables, chairs, carpet, and/or equipment, and any accidents
Maintain open communication with the Front of House and Back of House staff to ensure efficient flow of restaurant
Available to fill in as directed by management
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum of one year prior restaurant cashiering experience
Basic knowledge of food presentation, preparation, and food handling
Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stand for extended periods
Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to handle cash and use point of sale systems accurately
Customer-focused with a friendly and professional demeanor
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
