Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team at the heart of building the UK's largest mobile network. As a Finance Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting cash management, working capital performance, and financial reporting across a fast-paced, evolving business. You'll work closely with finance stakeholders, gain exposure to senior leaders, and develop valuable financial analysis skills while helping drive informed business decisions.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage and maintain daily cash forecasting models, ensuring accurate reconciliation with bank statements
  • Take ownership of trade payment reporting, identifying and escalating changes or discrepancies where needed
  • Reconcile and monitor VPC balances against SAP records to ensure financial accuracy
  • Lead the end-to-end management of payables working capital, including forecasting, month-end reporting, variance analysis, and performance insights
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Opex, and Capex teams to understand financial impacts and translate forecasts into working capital outcomes
  • Identify opportunities to improve forecasting models and enhance financial planning processes
  • Coordinate monthly Group KPI reporting, ensuring submissions are accurate, timely, and clearly communicated
  • Prepare insightful reporting packs and present findings and recommendations to senior finance leadership
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis across working capital and capital expenditure areas, helping the business understand trends and make data-driven decisions

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Confidence working with large data sets and translating numbers into meaningful insights
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using financial modelling tools
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • A proactive approach to identifying improvements and driving efficiencies
  • Experience working with SAP or a similar ERP system would be beneficial
  • Part-qualified or fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent professional finance qualification is desirable
