Job Description

Seeking a meticulous professional to manage Special Deposit Accounts (SDA). Responsibilities include daily/weekly monitoring and reconciliation of SDA balances, processing deposits/withdrawals/transfers, maintaining audit-ready documentation, and resolving discrepancies. You will execute waterfall payment calculations, allocate funds based on agreements, validate system outputs, and prepare reports for stakeholders. Additional tasks involve timely cash application, bank and ledger reconciliations, strong internal controls, compliance reporting, and audit support.

Job Responsibility

  • Monitor and reconcile SDA balances on a daily/weekly basis
  • Process deposits, withdrawals, and transfers in accordance with agreements
  • Ensure proper documentation and audit support for all SDA activity
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with internal accounting and treasury teams on cash positioning
  • Execute and monitor waterfall payment calculations and distributions
  • Allocate funds based on contractual priority structures
  • Validate calculations against agreements and system outputs
  • Prepare supporting schedules and reports for stakeholders
  • Identify and escalate discrepancies or compliance concerns
  • Apply incoming payments accurately and timely
  • Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations
  • Research and resolve unapplied or misapplied cash
  • Maintain strong internal controls around cash handling
  • Prepare periodic cash activity reports
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and financial controls
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Maintain organized records for regulatory and audit review

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in cash management, treasury operations, or accounting
  • Experience with structured finance, SDA accounts, or waterfall payment models preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reconciliations)
  • Understanding of cash flow structures and contractual payment priorities
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with ERP or treasury management systems preferred
