Job Description:

HSBC is seeking a Cash Equities Sales Trader to execute US-based Hedge Funds with equities mandates, manage institutional and hedge fund client relationships, and drive HSBC’s global strategy. The role includes advising clients, liaising with local offices, and managing IPO processes. Job Responsibility:

  • Market HSBC’s US High Touch execution services to predominately US clients
  • Strong account management skills and cross product knowledge
  • Introduce new Hedge Fund clients to the cash and prime business
  • Advise clients on market news and events
  • Liaise with HSBC’s local offices across its global footprint
  • Manage the IPO process
  • Adhere to HSBC policy, procedures and control requirements applicable to day-to-day working
  • Ensure the fair treatment of customers
  • Suggest ideas and contribute to implementing actions that will improve customer service.

Requirements:

  • US FINRA Licences, Series 7, 57, 63, are an absolute requirement
  • Proven experience in Equities
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • A strong team player willing to work across asset classes and geographies
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive
  • Strong interpersonal skills, intellectual curiosity and judgement
  • Ability to work in a high-paced and dynamic environment
  • Willingness to explore new skills to enhance cross-selling outside of cash-equity
  • Ability to build effective external client relationships
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. as HSBC will not engage in immigration sponsorship for this position.
