Robert Half is looking for a Cash Application Specialist to work with the Accounts Receivable team. The ideal candidate will assist with daily cash application and all other related transactions applicable to the AR/cash receipt function. The primary responsibility is to insure receipts are accurately and timely to applied to customer accounts. This role will also be responsible for customer account reconciliations and assistance with customer inquiries and collections. This is a long-term contract position with a growing company in St. Paul.
Job Responsibility:
Daily application of customer payments for a multi-entity operation
Responsible for reconciling daily cash receipts to bank ledger
Assists the A/R team in resolving all payment discrepancies and unapplied cash
Responsible for reconciling A/R accounts to ensure outstanding balances are accurate and agree with customer records
Responsible for processing customer credit card transactions
Ability to work with all other departments in order to answer questions and resolve issues on a timely basis with both internal and external customers while ensuring exceptional customer service
Assists other accounting personnel as needed or requested
Maintains documentation for the A/R function in regards to process changes and customer specific requirements
Assists with managing a shared email inbox with the A/R team
Completes special projects within timelines when requested or required
Requirements:
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related
1+ years of cash application or general accounting experience
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment and handle multiple tasks
Ability to easily learn new systems
