Cash Application Specialist

• Process incoming payments and ensure accurate and timely application to customer accounts
• Review and reconcile discrepancies in payment allocations
• Utilize accounting software systems and tools to manage cash activity effectively
• Handle Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and ensure compliance with company policies
• Support billing functions by verifying payment data and processing adjustments
• Maintain detailed records of cash transactions and prepare reports for management review
• Collaborate with the accounts receivable team to improve workflows
• Assist in processing refunds, chargebacks, and other payment-related activities
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the cash application function

• Proven experience in cash application or accounts receivable roles
• Proficiency in accounting software systems including CyberSource and Epic Software
• Strong understanding of ACH transactions and other payment processing methods
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of data accurately
• Familiarity with billing functions and reconciliation processes
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills for resolving payment discrepancies
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of general accounting principles and financial data management
