Job Description:

We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to join our team in Milwaukie, Oregon. In this long-term contract position, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate accounts receivable records and ensuring timely application of incoming payments. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment within the real estate property and facilities management industry.

Job Responsibility:

Post daily customer payments received through various channels, including credit card, lockbox, and third-party systems
Process finance charges and small balance write-offs in compliance with company policies
Investigate and resolve unapplied or misapplied payments promptly to maintain account accuracy
Reconcile third-party billing systems and address any discrepancies that arise
Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to resolve payment-related issues effectively
Match daily deposits to the bank register to ensure accurate financial records
Assist with month-end close tasks, including cash application and accounts receivable reconciliations
Work closely with the collections and credit teams to maintain account integrity
Participate in special projects or initiatives as assigned by management

Requirements:

At least 1 year of experience in accounts receivable, cash application, or a similar finance-related role
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities
Proven ability to manage high-volume data entry tasks with precision
Familiarity with accounting software systems such as CyberSource or Epic is preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge of accounts receivable processes, billing functions, and ACH transactions
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced office environment and meet deadlines effectively
