Job Responsibility:
Review referral information, establish professional relationships, perform timely intake, and develop/maintain individual plan for employment with all participants
Maintain caseload size that is both programmatically and fiscally appropriate and ensures timely delivery of services
Develop and maintain positive relationships with referral sources and provides ongoing communication regarding participant activities
Utilize referral information, intake information, job history, and local employment market in determining job goals. Also involves partnership with Employment Specialists and other staff based on program size and structure
Works with participant and relevant supports to determine communication style, transportation needs, support needs, independent living needs, social supports, and threats to employment and make appropriate recommendations for accommodation or remediation
Develops and maintains Knowledge of community resources and assistive technology relevant to caseload, as well as knowledge of ADA guidelines related to accommodations. Educate employers as needed
Document all work with participants in progress notes, maintain notes and other agency documentation
Maintain confidentiality according to agency guidelines, follows ethical guidelines
Maintain knowledge of community resources that can be utilized to support participant needs (i.e., transportation, medical, childcare, utilities, etc.). Make referrals, advocate, and follow-up
Completes training requirements on an annual basis to demonstrate program-specific knowledge
Maintains program outcomes such as 2 new starts per month, 75% 90-day retention rate for participants placed in employment
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree with specialized training and/or certification in providing services to the specific population being served in ESP
Experience working with autism is required
Requires excellent written/verbal communication skills
Driver's license and current insurance required
