We are seeking an experienced Case Assistant to provide high‑level administrative and case management support across a wide range of legal practice groups. This role is ideal for a legal support professional with 3–5 years of applicable law firm or in‑house experience who is organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing multiple matters simultaneously. The Case Assistant will work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient handling of case‑related tasks.
Job Responsibility:
Assist attorneys and paralegals with case organization, file maintenance, and document management
Draft, proofread, and format correspondence, memos, and routine legal documents
Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files
ensure accurate naming conventions and version control
Coordinate deadlines, maintain calendars, and support scheduling of hearings, meetings, and client communications
Handle document collection, scanning, indexing, and Bates labeling as needed for discovery or production
Retrieve and compile case information from internal databases, document management systems, and external sources
Assist with court filings (state and federal, electronic and manual) depending on practice group needs
Communicate with clients, vendors, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional and timely manner
Support billing tasks such as entering attorney time, preparing expense reports, and tracking matter‑related costs
Provide general administrative support for a broad set of legal matters, including litigation, corporate, regulatory, employment, or other practice areas as needed
Requirements:
3–5 years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department supporting attorneys, paralegals, or case teams
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and follow‑through
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and law firm document management systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
