Our client, an AMLAW 100 Litigation Firm, is seeking a dedicated and motivated Case Assistant to support their San Francisco teams on a remote, open-ended contract basis. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with some administrative experience in a law firm setting to establish and grow their careers in the legal industry.
Job Responsibility:
Provide administrative and case management support to attorneys and paralegals in a fast-paced litigation environment
Assist with document organization, case file maintenance, and preparation of materials for court filings
Conduct basic legal research and compile information as directed by supervising attorneys or paralegals
Manage and maintain case calendars, including scheduling meetings, hearings, and deadlines
Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties as needed
Perform other administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, data entry, and preparing correspondence
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (recent graduates encouraged to apply) or equivalent administrative experience in a law firm setting
Interest in pursuing a career in the legal industry
eager to learn and grow within the field
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn new software quickly
A professional demeanor and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Availability and interest in remaining on assignment for at minimum 6 months
Must reside near San Francisco office for critical onsite needs (rare)
