Job Description

Our client, an AMLAW 100 Litigation Firm, is seeking a dedicated and motivated Case Assistant to support their San Francisco teams on a remote, open-ended contract basis. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with some administrative experience in a law firm setting to establish and grow their careers in the legal industry.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide administrative and case management support to attorneys and paralegals in a fast-paced litigation environment
  • Assist with document organization, case file maintenance, and preparation of materials for court filings
  • Conduct basic legal research and compile information as directed by supervising attorneys or paralegals
  • Manage and maintain case calendars, including scheduling meetings, hearings, and deadlines
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties as needed
  • Perform other administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, data entry, and preparing correspondence

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (recent graduates encouraged to apply) or equivalent administrative experience in a law firm setting
  • Interest in pursuing a career in the legal industry
  • eager to learn and grow within the field
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn new software quickly
  • A professional demeanor and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Availability and interest in remaining on assignment for at minimum 6 months
  • Must reside near San Francisco office for critical onsite needs (rare)
