This is a full-time temporary role designed to support the effective administration of probation cases, ensuring smooth processes and positive outcomes for service users.
Job Responsibility
Setting up and maintaining accurate records of individuals on probation and victim information on approved databases
Managing referrals and fostering relationships between offender management, victims, service providers, and external agencies to promote safety and reduce reoffending
Preparing, maintaining, and collating case files and management information in line with standards
Handling communications via telephone, email, and paper, ensuring timely and appropriate responses
Providing reception and telephone enquiry cover, acting as a single point of contact for specialist areas
Supporting practical arrangements such as appointments and sentence plan implementations
Carrying out enforcement administration, issuing petty cash, and maintaining financial records
Organising resources and equipment for case management activities
Attending meetings, organising agendas, and recording notes and actions
Ensuring all activities comply with health and safety policies, including equipment testing
Supporting safeguarding duties and demonstrating positive pro-social behaviour
Requirements
Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Word and basic Excel
Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of individuals, including those in distress or displaying challenging behaviour
Ability to work independently and use initiative
Basic numeric skills for handling petty cash and related tasks
Experience in administrative roles, particularly within a regulated environment, is advantageous
