Our Client, a reputable organisation within the Probation Service, is hiring for a dedicated and professional Case Administrator to join their team in Cardiff. This is a vital administrative role supporting operational teams within the Probation Service Directorate, ensuring smooth day-to-day functions and excellent service delivery.
Job Responsibility:
Serving as the first point of contact for visitors, probationers, and callers, greeting them professionally face-to-face and via phone/email
Managing visitor logs, issuing passes, and coordinating security protocols to maintain a safe environment
Handling all building logistics, including mail, supplies, meeting room bookings, and event support
Supporting security and safety procedures, acting as key holder, monitoring CCTV, testing alarms, and assisting with evacuation procedures
Managing petty cash, travel warrants, and transportation of funds between sites
Assisting with case administration by updating files, producing documentation, and maintaining confidential records
Logging building faults, escalating issues, and supporting maintenance and repairs
Providing support during periods of absence for team members, including supporting safeguarding and risk assessments where trained
Requirements:
Proven ICT skills across Microsoft Office applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities
GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English
IT qualification such as ECDL/CLAIT or comparable work experience demonstrating similar competency
Nice to have:
Experience working in criminal justice or high-pressure environments
Customer relations experience
Knowledge of health and safety procedures within a workplace
