Job Description

The CSG Complex Injury team is looking for a Case Administrator to join the team. You will provide admin support to lawyers in the team in running complex and catastrophic injury files of a high value and importance to our clients. The Complex Injury team works on behalf of insurance companies and corporates, investigating and resolving high value personal injury compensation claims. This is an exciting time to join as you will be part of a new and expanding team. CSG advises insurers and corporate clients in their defence of claims of all values, types and complexity. Our National team whose clients are a mix of leading names in the insurance industry as well as household name corporates, deal with all aspects of defendant litigation, including complex and catastrophic injury. Increasingly, the team is getting involved in pre-emptive advice on these issues as well as dispute resolution. Who you will be working with The Complex Injury team is made of up of 80 colleagues situated all across the UK. Our new colleague would be required to come into the Birmingham office 5 days a week during their probation, moving to a more hybrid approach once probation is completed.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist with the running of files to ensure deadlines are met and cases managed proactively to conclusion
  • Ensure work is carried out effectively to meet the needs of the clients and the commercial requirements of the firm
  • Assisting with the set-up of new files in the case management system
  • Diarising Court directions
  • Updating CRU certificates
  • Obtaining and chasing medical records
  • Submitting payment requests
  • Chasing orders and settlement cheques
  • Liaising with Courts, Opponent Solicitors and other Third Parties
  • Completing basic legal forms
  • Organising and preparing for Counsel instructions
  • Other administrative duties, as required
