Job Description

Handshake is seeking experienced QGIS users for a flexible, project-based role as a Digital Cartographer and AI Trainer, focusing on evaluating AI-generated content in GIS tasks. This is an ongoing, project-based opportunity you can take on alongside anything else you have going on.

Job Responsibility

  • Evaluate AI-generated content related to GIS tasks and provide feedback based on spatial data workflows using QGIS
  • Use your experience with QGIS to create tool-related questions and review AI-generated responses for accuracy and relevance to real-world GIS and spatial data workflows

Requirements

  • At least 3+ years of hands-on experience with QGIS
  • A working knowledge of GIS concepts, spatial analysis, and geospatial data workflows
  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently and follow written guidelines

Nice to have

  • Solid experience with spatial analysis, environmental mapping, or geospatial data workflows using QGIS or ArcGIS
  • Solid experience with remote sensing, urban planning data, or conservation mapping workflows
  • Solid experience with annotating or labeling spatial datasets and geographic assets
  • Solid experience with reviewing maps and spatial outputs for accuracy, data integrity, or scientific consistency
