Job Description:

Cart And Bag Attendant at JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa involves assisting golfers with their equipment, ensuring the cleanliness and security of golf-related areas, and providing excellent customer service to guests in a luxury hospitality environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Transport clubs to/from guest vehicles and/or group buses
  • pick up and drop off guest golf bags at bag drop
  • provide directions to golfers to golf-related areas
  • assist golfers with carts and equipment
  • distribute score cards and pencils to golfers
  • clean, detail, and restock golf carts after use
  • document golf cart damage and deficiencies for mechanic’s review
  • maintain cleanliness of golf-related areas
  • setup, reset, and break down practice stations
  • pick up and wash balls from practice facility
  • ensure security of golf equipment in storage
  • notify manager/supervisor of important issues
  • comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • ability to lift and move objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds
  • ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period
  • ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
  • ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
  • knowledge of golf course operations and guest satisfaction
  • adherence to company policies and procedures
  • ability to read and visually verify information
  • positive communication and relationship-building skills
  • compliance with quality assurance standards.
