We are looking to extend our team of Carpentry Trade Assistants and encourage you to apply if you are studying your Certificate III or have a vast knowledge of carpentry work and want to expand on existing carpentry skills.

Job Responsibility:

Work across various sites assisting our Trades in all types of Carpentry work

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in Building and Construction
  • Basic Power tools preferred but not essential
  • Own reliable & secure transport
  • White card
  • Full PPE
  • Good awareness of onsite Health & Safety
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Follow all assigned fueling instructions
  • Fabricate new tools and equipment as needed
  • Follow preventative maintenance schedules for all hatchery equipment such as hydroelectric turbine generators, diesel generators, front-end loaders, pickup trucks, gas pumps, outboard motors, welders, cement mixers, steam cleaners, pressure washers, snow removal equipment, and power tools
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and necessary repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure operational efficiency
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine solutions by referencing blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs
  • Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts
