Job Description

We are currently seeking experienced and reliable Trade Qualified Carpenters to join our team for ongoing local government projects in the Mount Isa region. This is a dynamic role that offers a diverse range of work across both commercial council buildings and local residential properties. Job Responsibility

Perform general carpentry maintenance, repairs, and renovations on local government commercial buildings and facilities
Execute carpentry works for local residential properties, including structural repairs, fit-outs, and upgrades
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements
Ensure all work complies with the National Construction Code (NCC) and local council building standards
Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant worksite at all times

Requirements

Australian Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent Australian recognised qualification)
Current Licensing: A valid Queensland Construction White Card and any other relevant current trade licenses
Fitness for Work: Must be able to successfully pass a mandatory pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test
Driver's License: A valid Australian manual driver's license
Safety Focus: A strong commitment to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) practices
