Carpenter

• Carry out a wide variety of carpentry repairs in occupied student accommodation, buildings, and empty rooms
• Fitting various door types (including fire doors)
• First and second fixing carpentry
• Kitchen installations
• Ceramic wall tiling
• Carpet tiling
• Minor decorative works
• Minor glazing tasks
• Fault diagnosis
• Emergency repair response
• Adhering to H&S standards
• Maintaining a clean company vehicle

• 2-5 years in building maintenance (ideally within an educational environment)
• NVQ Level 2-3 in Carpentry (or equivalent)
• Strong communication skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to use a PDA for recording work
• Willingness to participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota
• Must have your own trade-specific tools to perform the required tasks
