Requirements

Solid experience across multiple trades, especially carpentry, plumbing and plastering
Confident using hand and power tools
Able to work independently and manage your own workload
A practical problem‑solver who can spot issues and fix them properly
Good communication skills and a customer‑friendly attitude
Physically fit and happy with hands‑on work
Experience working in social housing is a bonus
A full, valid UK driving licence
Must have UPVC skills

Job Responsibility

Carrying out multi‑trade repairs including carpentry, plumbing, plastering and general maintenance
Fixing day‑to‑day issues such as doors, kitchens, bathrooms, leaks, walls and flooring
Completing patch plastering, minor tiling, painting and similar finishing works
Working on your own jobs but also alongside other trades when needed
Following work orders and reporting back on progress and materials used
Working safely at all times and following Hyde’s health and safety procedures
Providing a professional, friendly service to customers in their homes
Repairing and maintaining windows and doors, including replacing hinges, handles, and locking mechanisms
Installing new Fire doors, including cutting and adjusting frames

Requirements

Knowledge of the materials and methods used in the building and maintenance industry
Full current driving license
Competent to complete a wide variety carpentry, plumbing and other trade tasks at multiskilled level
Demonstrable experience with a variety of carpentry and plumbing works across a variety of properties
Minimum NVQ level 2, or time served experience in either carpentry, masonry and/or plumbing with proven competency in non-core trades
Experience of working as part of a trade team delivering to tight timescales
Full Driving licence (clean)
Ability to undertake physically demanding work

Job Responsibility

Ability to undertake a wide variety of Carpentry, plumbing and other trades tasks at a multi skilled level
Provide a high-quality service to customers and maintain a good customer relationship
This will include full void repair work
Daily jobs will include Carpentry, plumbing, tiling, lock changes, patch plastering, decorating
