Job Description

We’re looking for a Carpenter Multi-Trade Operative to join our team delivering works across the Southampton area, covering void properties, kitchen and bathroom (K&B) programmes and major repairs. This is a carpentry-led role focused on internal works and installations, where you will also carry out supporting multi-trade activities to ensure jobs are completed to a high standard. Working as part of a wider delivery team, you’ll play a key role in delivering refurbishment and repair works safely, efficiently and to specification.

Job Responsibility

  • Carry out carpentry works including kitchen fitting, 1st and 2nd fix carpentry, doors, frames and internal installations
  • Deliver works across void properties, preparing homes for handover
  • Support kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programmes
  • Contribute to major repairs works across properties
  • Carry out multi-trade works to support project completion, including: Basic plumbing
  • Tiling
  • Patch plastering and making god
  • Painting and decrating
  • Work collaboratively with site teams to deliver works on time and to quality standards
  • Follow health and safety procedures and complete risk assessments

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Carpentry (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in voids, kitchen and bathroom works or major repairs
  • Strong carpentry and installation experience
  • Multi-trade capability (basic plumbing, tiling, plastering, decorating)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong understanding of health & safety
