Carpenter Co-worker

• Following work briefs agreed with colleagues to implement all store media, such as wall constructions, podiums, fixtures, floor laying, painting and the building of complex furniture installations
• Planning and ordering materials and resources, ensuring accurate costs are sought and agreed in order to maximise efficiency and minimise costs
• Working with your colleagues to make sure the store is always in excellent shape to inspire our customers
• Focus on key tasks to meet the needs and expectations of store visitors and minimise disruption when working on the shop floor
• Be conscious of the importance of safety at all times while working on the shop floor and take fast action when safety is compromised

• Qualification in Carpentry NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Wood Occupations/Site Carpentry is essential, or an equivalent qualification (such as an HND or NVQ in Carpentry)
• Previous carpentry experience gained in a commercial or retail environment, ideally retail fit-out or from exhibition installations, with good attention to detail. Also experience in tiling and flooring is desirable however not essential
• You are excited about home furnishings, design and how people live, and have the ability to generate new ideas to inspire our customers
• Proven ability to prioritise and organise your workload in order to make the most efficient use of available time and meet agreed goals and deadlines
• Clear communication with the ability to explain concepts verbally and with visual interpretation
• Due to Health and Safety, you must be 18 years old or over for this role
