In this role you'll be supporting the overall smooth and safe running of cargo operations in Delhi, helping to drive operational excellence in accordance with the cargo business objectives. You'll ensure the highest standard of Customer Service and simultaneously ensure the Virgin Atlantic (VA) and Virgin Atlantic Cargo (VAC) procedures & policies, safety & security and brand values of the operation are monitored and always maintained. This includes supervising our cargo GHAs and ensuring compliance with all safety, security, and customs requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Support the overall smooth and safe running of cargo operations in Delhi
Help to drive operational excellence in accordance with the cargo business objectives
Ensure the highest standard of Customer Service
Ensure the Virgin Atlantic (VA) and Virgin Atlantic Cargo (VAC) procedures & policies, safety & security and brand values of the operation are monitored and always maintained
Supervise cargo GHAs and ensure compliance with all safety, security, and customs requirements
Maximise flight capacity through effective oversight of third-party handling agents and transport providers
Supervise screening, build-up and ramp transfer activities to ensure full compliance with SOPs, safety standards and ACC3 requirements
Complete Dangerous Goods (DG) checks and verify all required documentation and declarations are accurate and compliant
Act as the key point of contact across ramp operations, monitoring cargo flow, resolving discrepancies and maintaining smooth day-of-operation delivery
Ensure accurate data capture and timely processing of all cargo documentation and system updates (including UWS, LIR, NOTOC and Cargo Management System departures)
Maintain strong communication with internal teams, third-party partners and customs authorities, resolving issues promptly and coordinating penalties or compliance matters where required
Requirements:
Proven experience in Air Cargo Operations
Knowledge of all local regulatory standards and requirements, including customs
Strong communicator, fluent in English, both verbal and written
Broad basic knowledge of the Air Cargo industry - able to recognise industry terms of reference, and paperwork requirements, whilst being confident in using associated reference manuals (IATA, COM etc)
Understanding of Air Cargo processes, including cargo acceptance and build up
Great attention to detail
Experience of operating in a fast-paced environment, across the office, warehouse and ramp
