Job Description:

Due to an urgent need for experienced Caretakers in Sefton schools, we are seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our facilities teams. This is an excellent opportunity for those with experience in maintenance, security, or facilities management to contribute to the smooth operation of educational environments.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure the safety, security, and cleanliness of school premises
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs
  • Manage the opening and closing of school buildings
  • Conduct health and safety checks and risk assessments
  • Assist with deliveries and move furniture as required
  • Oversee external contractors visiting the school site
  • Support school policies and procedures, including safeguarding

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a caretaking or facilities role
  • Basic maintenance and DIY skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive approach
  • Legal Right to Work in the UK
  • Enhanced Child DBS check or be willing to undertake one
