We are seeking a caring and motivated Carer to join our team in Chirk, Wrexham. This part-time, permanent role is vital to supporting individuals to live independently and comfortably within their own homes. As a Carer, you will provide personalised care and support that promotes wellbeing, safety, and dignity.
Job Responsibility:
Assist individuals with personal care needs, including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
Support service users with medication prompts and administration, following care plans and protocols
Help with meal preparation and ensuring nutritional needs are met
Encourage and support social participation and community engagement to enhance quality of life
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided and report any changes in health or behaviour
Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, family members, and other support services
Uphold health and safety standards and respect confidentiality at all times
Respond to emergencies calmly and effectively, providing reassurance and assistance as needed
Requirements:
Previous experience in a caring role within health, nursing, or social care is highly desirable
A caring and compassionate nature with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic understanding of health and safety and safeguarding principles
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to accommodate varied shift patterns, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
Willingness to undertake relevant training and development opportunities
Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is advantageous but not essential
