Job Description

As a Night Carer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our service users during the night hours, ensuring their safety, comfort, and wellbeing. You will work as part of a dedicated team within a caring environment focused on promoting independence and dignity for all residents.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide high-quality personal care and support to service users during night shifts, including assistance with hygiene, mobility, and medication reminders
  • Monitor the health and wellbeing of residents, promptly reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of care and observations in line with organisational policies
  • Support service users in maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment
  • Respond calmly and effectively to any emergencies or incidents during the night
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to ensure continuity of care
  • Promote a respectful and positive atmosphere, encouraging service users’ independence and engagement

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a health, nursing, or social care role is desirable but not essential

  • Basic understanding of health and safety and safeguarding principles
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shifts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a genuine commitment to providing quality care
