Job Description

We are currently looking for a Careers Advisor (m/f/d) for our central Careers Team to support the service provision at the Berlin campus. This is a full-time or a part-time role based in the Berlin office. In this position, you will be reporting to the Head of Careers.

Job Responsibility

  • Career guidance and counselling for students and graduates during individual appointments and in group sessions
  • Delivery of a variety of career-related in-person or hybrid on-campus workshops
  • Conceptualizing and creation of Careers Service materials for students, graduates and members of staff as well as for partner organisation and external businesses and institutions
  • Development and maintenance of an interactive platform for our engaged and growing alumni community which in 2026 reached 5,500 graduates
  • Organisation, coordination and delivery of exclusive alumni events on campus and online
  • Active development of partner organisation network in Berlin focusing on acquisition of business partners in the Engineering, Health, Real Estate and IT sectors
  • Acting as a representative of the School’s Careers Service at external professional events
  • Preparation of, input into and support with Careers Service employer events at the main campus in Berlin
  • Close collaboration with the Campus Management, Marketing and Student Life Teams as well as with other colleagues located at BSBI campuses in Berlin, Barcelona, Hamburg and Paris
  • Assisting Head of Careers Service in the day-to-day operations

Requirements

  • Proficiency in English at C2 level
  • Working knowledge of German at a minimum level of B1
  • Completed vocational education and/or a university degree
  • Experience in career guidance, talent management or recruitment necessary
  • At least one-year previous employment in the private or public sector in Germany
  • Excellent knowledge of the MS Office programmes (Word, Excel, Teams) and Canva
  • Ability to work under pressure and to multitask. Good time management skills
  • Taking own initiative, organisational flair and empathic attitude are your final characteristics
  • Passion for helping students and young professionals with their academic and career-related endeavours
