We are looking for an experienced Career Planner to join our team in Hampton, Virginia. This Contract to permanent position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by assisting individuals in achieving their career goals through tailored planning and support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in case management, recruitment, and career development within a non-profit setting.
Job Responsibility:
Assist job seekers in developing individualized career plans and identifying occupational skills training opportunities
Conduct eligibility assessments and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with federal and state policies
Manage a caseload of participants, providing guidance and support throughout their career development journey
Perform labor market analysis to identify high-demand occupations and recommend relevant training programs
Interview clients to evaluate program suitability, employment needs, and readiness for job placement
Develop and implement Individual Service Strategies to address client training needs and career objectives
Monitor and record clients' progress, providing follow-up services to ensure successful outcomes
Coordinate with training providers and community agencies to facilitate client success
Deliver program orientation sessions both individually and in group settings, on-site and off-site
Maintain accurate and confidential records of client activities, outcomes, and program documentation
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in case management, career planning, or a related role
Proficiency in recruitment processes, including sourcing and high-volume hiring
Strong skills in job placement, client counseling, and follow-up support
Experience conducting employee orientations and maintaining detailed documentation
Ability to analyze labor market trends and recommend appropriate training opportunities
Familiarity with data reporting systems and maintaining accurate program records
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a focus on maintaining confidentiality
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with clients, community agencies, and training providers
