Job Description

To support learners and employers through the apprenticeship onboarding and enrolment journey, ensuring all learners are enrolled onto the most appropriate programme to support their career aspirations, personal development and long-term progression opportunities. The role will ensure apprenticeship compliance and funding eligibility requirements are fully met while delivering high-quality Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) that enables learners to make informed decisions about their training and future career pathways. The postholder will work closely with employers to ensure expectations, programme commitments, progression routes and next steps are clearly communicated throughout the learner journey. The role contributes directly to learner retention, achievement, positive destinations and employer satisfaction, while supporting the organisation’s commitment to the Gatsby Benchmarks and outstanding learner experience.

Job Responsibility

  • Support learners and employers through the apprenticeship onboarding and enrolment journey
  • Ensure all learners are enrolled onto the most appropriate programme to support their career aspirations, personal development and long-term progression opportunities
  • Ensure apprenticeship compliance and funding eligibility requirements are fully met while delivering high-quality Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG)
  • Work closely with employers to ensure expectations, programme commitments, progression routes and next steps are clearly communicated throughout the learner journey
  • Conduct compliant learner onboarding and enrolment activities in line with DFE funding rules and internal quality procedures
  • Complete and validate all learner and employer documentation accurately and within required timescales
  • Carry out eligibility checks to ensure learners meet programme and funding requirements
  • Maintain accurate learner records within our eportfolio & learner management systems
  • Identify compliance risks or gaps in documentation and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Support audit readiness through accurate processing, tracking and storage of learner evidence and paperwork
  • Monitor onboarding pipelines and provide regular updates on learner enrolment status and compliance progression
  • Provide impartial Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance to prospective and existing learners to support informed programme choices
  • Support learners to identify programmes that align with their current skills, career aspirations and progression goals
  • Promote learner awareness of career pathways, progression opportunities and higher-level learning routes
  • Support learners to understand employer expectations, occupational standards and the skills required for career success
  • Encourage learners to take ownership of their development and long-term career planning
  • Ensure learners receive clear information regarding programme content, commitments, timelines and expected outcomes
  • Support learners to transition positively into apprenticeship programmes through effective onboarding and induction
  • Work collaboratively with delivery teams to ensure learners are placed on suitable programmes that maximise engagement, retention and achievement
  • Identify barriers to participation, achievement or progression and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Promote a positive learner experience that supports confidence, wellbeing, motivation and achievement
  • Contribute to improving learner retention, attendance and timely achievement outcomes
  • Support learners and employers to understand progression opportunities available following programme completion
  • Liaise effectively with employers to ensure they fully understand apprenticeship expectations, programme requirements and next steps
  • Support employers to identify suitable apprenticeship pathways aligned to workforce needs and learner career development
  • Ensure employers understand their responsibilities regarding learner support, off-the-job training and progression planning
  • Build strong working relationships with employers and stakeholders to support successful learner outcomes
  • Gather feedback from employers and learners to support continuous improvement of onboarding and learner experience processes

Requirements

  • Experience working within apprenticeships, learner onboarding, compliance or further education environments
  • Knowledge of DFE funding rules and apprenticeship eligibility requirements
  • Experience providing learner support or Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG)
  • Strong understanding of learner progression and employer engagement within apprenticeship delivery
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate compliance processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively with learners, employers and internal stakeholders
  • Strong relationship-building and customer service skills
  • Ability to identify learner needs and support positive learner outcomes
  • IT proficiency, including educational databases and learner management systems
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and continuous improvement
  • Full UK driving licence
