Job Description:

The Omaha Tribe of Nebraska and Carl T. Curtis Health Education Center will offer valued work experience within a tribal and healthcare environment to college students. This program aims to provide summer opportunities and positive work training experiences, as well as to identify and track potential full-time employment candidates among prospective tribal members. Each intern will work within a designated department of OTN and CTCHEC, under the guidance of a supervisor or coach based on their educational goals and interests.

Job Responsibility:

  • Attend and participate in orientation and training sessions
  • Assist in day-to-day tasks and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor or coach
  • Follow established guidelines and procedures for completing tasks
  • Develop and enhance skills in the designated field of work
  • Attend and participate in meetings and events related to the department's activities
  • Maintain accurate records and document activities as needed
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Participate in regular feedback sessions with the supervisor or coach to identify areas for improvement and growth
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, professionalism, and strong work ethic at all times
  • Complete any additional duties or projects as assigned by the supervisor or coach
