Job Description:

The Career Development Counsellor will work with our Employment Services team to support adults and transitioning youth with developmental disabilities and barriers to employment to prepare for, seek and/or maintain employment. The successful candidate will assist with a variety of tasks and activities that support individuals in community based employment. This position is best suited for a highly organized individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills who is seeking a career in Career Development, Community Support, or Human Resources training.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work with our Employment Services team to support adults and transitioning youth with developmental disabilities and barriers to employment to prepare for, seek and/or maintain employment
  • Assist with a variety of tasks and activities that support individuals in community based employment

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education or training in a related field (Social Services, Human Services, or Education)
  • Must be between ages of 18-30 at intake time, legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Criminal Record Clearance
  • Medical Clearance
  • Valid First Aid/CPR
  • Valid class 5 Driver’s licence and use of a car is an asset
  • Satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
  • Demonstrated competency in English
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365
  • Must be Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold Refugee Status
