As a Career Development Advisor, you will drive inclusive employment outcomes by connecting people with intellectual disability to local job opportunities. This is a front-line, target-driven role where you’ll combine case management with proactive employer engagement to create sustainable employment matches that benefit both the individual and the business. You’ll play a vital role in supporting our mission to make possibilities a reality—providing tailored support, career development planning, and a strong customer experience for both participants and employers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build relationships with local employers and identify job opportunities through networking, cold calling, and business development
  • Work one-on-one with participants to understand goals, address barriers, and develop employment pathways
  • Match participants to suitable roles and support them through recruitment, placement, and post-placement care
  • Maintain accurate case notes and documentation aligned with contractual and organisational standards
  • Meet performance targets and KPIs related to placements, customer satisfaction, and business development

Requirements:

  • Experience in employment services, recruitment, training, or community services
  • Proven success in a sales or target-driven environment
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
  • Understanding of employer needs and the local labour market
  • Ability to work independently and in a dispersed team environment
  • Experience working with people with intellectual disability or other support needs (highly regarded)
